Delphi, IN (kind of)
Sweet! 218 Market (so named because it’s NE of Delphi on State Road 218) is delightful! It closes at 3 PM on Saturday so it wasn’t technically open by the time we arrived but we browsed and saw a few unusual annuals and healthy plants. I wish we could have shopped their country market which advertised local produce, bakery and deli but we’ll have to return when they’re open. Flats are $15! Thanks to Gretchen Eichhorn Ely for sending us on this quest!
Aha! We returned in August and thoroughly enjoyed the country market. Plus we found GIANT ornamental cabbages for 4/$22! We were about seventh in line in the market and the place was hopping. We stocked up on popcorn, gummy bears and Turkish apricots. 🙂 Cash or check only.
