Bienvenue! Welcome to the Montreal Botanical Gardens! This is a combination of garden and arboretum and to take on ALL of it is a big project. We left the arboretum for another day. And I knew from my last visit here that I was most interested in the beds where they trial perennials so we tried to save some energy for the last bit.
Founded in 1931, the Jardin botanique features 20 thematic gardens, over 22,000 plant species and cultivars, 10 exhibition greenhouses and three cultural gardens. Plus the arboretum! It’s grand.
