Gotta love the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden! Established in 1988, it features dozens of artworks on 11 acres. I love the combination of art and plants– my very favorite sculpture gardens give the landscape and art equal weight. This one tips toward art with the pieces largely displayed in rows– and the place is so well loved that there are fences up where they’re trying to reestablish turf. I think they should give up on that and put down some mulch. Still, the major pieces are so iconic and the lesser-known pieces are super interesting. Don’t miss it if you’re in the Twin Cities.
