Kirkwood Farmers Market

Kirkwood, MO (suburb of St. Louis)

Having been involved with the West Lafayette Farmers Market, I’ve always envied the Kirkwood Farmers’ Market for the structure and electricity available to the vendors. When I was growing up, there was an assortment of vendors who could pull their trucks up behind the building where they were easily accessible but out of sight behind a hedge. A roof overhead kept out the rain and sun while electricity allowed for deli cases of meats and cheese. The number of vendors is significantly smaller now with Summit Produce dominating the space– but those amenities are still there and this market is open every day from April to October. In addition to fresh produce, herbs, jams, and more, you can find some outdoor plants to purchase. Add some live music and some prepared food vendors and this becomes part of the fabric of the community! Welcome to Kirkwood (suburb of STL) and go Pioneers!
